Bredin Prat has outstanding expertise in contentious regulatory matters.
The Firm regularly advises and represents issuers, executives and investors in investigations related to market abuse (dissemination of false or misleading information, insider trading, market manipulation).
The teams also regularly advises clients in relation to investigations carried out by the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution – ACPR) and the French Financial Markets Authority (Autorité des Marchés Financiers – AMF). When these investigations do not result in the clients being exonerated, the Firm assists them in negotiating settlement arrangements or in proceedings before the Enforcement Committee of the AMF.
The firm has gained unique experience in defending asset management companies before the Enforcement Committee of the AMF in matters related to alleged breach of their professional duties (management of information relating to their clients, internal control procedures, conflicts of interest, processing of orders, etc.).
