Bredin Prat advises CMA CGM in connection with the signing of a put option with a view to the acquisition of Altice Media

Bredin Prat is advising CMA CGM in connection with the signing of a put option with a view to the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Altice Media, the leading player in live news in France, from Altice France.

Altice Media would be acquired jointly by the CMA CGM Group and by Merit France, acquiring 80% and 20% respectively, based on a total enterprise value of €1.55 billion.

Completion of the transaction is subject to the procedures for informing and consulting the employee representative bodies at the relevant Altice France group companies, and is also subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals, notably from the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication (Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique – ARCOM) and from the relevant competition authorities.
