Bredin Prat and Argos Avocats advise Nicolas Béraud, Betclic founder and CEO, and his holding company Kostogri, in connection with Banijay Group’s acquisition of a majority stake in Tipico

Bredin Prat and Argos Avocats have advised Nicolas Béraud, Betclic founder and CEO, and his holding company Kostogri, in connection with the acquisition by Banijay Group, a global entertainment content producer-distributor, also involved in the sports betting business, of a majority stake in Tipico, a sports betting and online gaming provider.

Banijay, Betclic’s parent company, is thus creating a new entity, Banijay Gaming, which will serve 6.5 million players annually and will operate more than 1,250 betting shops.

On the basis of the transaction, Betclic is valued at €4.8bn and Tipico at €4.6bn, with a combined value of €9.4bn.

Nicolas Béraud, the Tipico founders and CVC will retain a minority stake in the combined entity.

As of 1 January 2026, Nicolas Béraud will become Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banijay Gaming.
