The French Competition Authority’s decision of 24 September 2024, in which it fined a group operating in the charcuterie and cured meat products sector for obstructing ‘dawn raid’ operations, confirms that the offence of obstruction, especially when committed during the preliminary phase of operations, is subject to an extensive and rigorous interpretation. This calls for companies to be particularly vigilant with regard to ‘dawn raids’. Read more
