Bredin Prat is advising Nexity in connection with negotiations which, on 7 July 2023, resulted in the signing of a partnership agreement relating to real estate programmes covering 76 Carrefour sites across France.

This long-term partnership will enable Carrefour and Nexity to develop mixed-use programmes including housing, serviced residences, retail outlets, offices or hotels, in line with the partners’ high environmental performance strategy.

For the purposes of the transaction, Carrefour and Nexity will jointly own a property venture vehicle, known as a “véhicule de portage foncier”, which is expected to be set up by the first quarter of 2024 at the latest, and which will be 80% owned by Carrefour and 20% by Nexity.

The Bredin Prat team advising Nexity comprised:

  • Corporate: Olivier Assant and Jean-Benoît Demaret (partners), and Kathleen Quinard
  • Tax: Sébastien de Monès (partner), Kevin Guillou and Margaux Faudemer
  • Competition: Yelena Trifounovitch (partner)
  • Employment Law: Laetitia Tombarello (partner)
