Return to a multi-year basis for ADP’s airport fee approval framework

The French Transport Regulatory Authority (ART) has issued its opinion on the preliminary draft of the economic regulation contract (CRE) between the State and Aéroports de Paris (ADP) for the 2027-2034 period, making 36 recommendations in preparation for its formal approval opinion that will be necessary for the final draft of the CRE. This opinion, which confirms ADP’s return to a multi-year framework, is not merely a shift from an annual to a multi-year approach, but also calls for improving reliability of the economic assumptions, consistency of risk-sharing mechanisms, and enhancing transparency requirements.
