Bredin Prat appoints 11 Counsels

Bredin Prat is pleased to announce that the following lawyers have been appointed as Counsel with effect from 1 January 2026: Ferdinand Barbé, Cyril Courbon and Paul Worms (Corporate), Samuel Daniau and Laura Montagnier (Litigation), Benoît Delort (Restructuring), Amaury de Galbert, Kevin Guillou and Françoise Panel (Tax Law), Sarah Gicquel (Digital Law and Intellectual Property) and Arnaud Mailhos (White Collar Criminal Defence).

  • Ferdinand Barbé, Counsel | Corporate

Ferdinand Barbé, Counsel, is a member of the Corporate team.

His practice focuses mainly on M&A and securities law, and he notably advises companies, both listed and unlisted, on cross-border transactions. His practice also includes advising in the context of distressed M&A.

In addition, he assists French and international corporate clients and their senior executives in connection with their external growth transactions, strategic alliances and joint ventures.

He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2017 and is a graduate of the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas (Master’s Degree in Banking and Financial Law, 2015), the University of Paris Dauphine (Master’s Degree in Financial Law, 2014) and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Joint Maîtrise in Business Law and in Economics & Management, 2013).

  • Cyril Courbon, Counsel | Corporate

Cyril Courbon, Counsel, is a member of the Corporate team.

His practice primarily includes private equity transactions, advising both investment funds and companies, as well as private M&A.

Cyril regularly advises leading financial investors, family offices, portfolio companies and founders on the whole spectrum of private equity transactions, notably leveraged buyouts (LBO), build-ups, co-investments (minority and majority), as well as exits. He also assists clients on management packages, reinvestment mechanisms and governance.

Prior to joining Bredin Prat in 2021, Cyril was with a leading international law firm for four years, in their M&A/private equity practice.

He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2018 and is a graduate of the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master’s Degree in Business Law and Tax, 2015) and of the Grenoble Ecole de Management (Grande Ecole programme, majoring in finance and management, 2016).

Paul Worms, Counsel, is a member of the Corporate team.

His practice focuses on M&A, private equity and securities law. He regularly advises clients, including investment funds, family offices and large companies, on M&A and private equity transactions (LBO, OBO, take private, build-up, hybrid).

His experience includes both domestic and cross-border transactions, in various sectors, involving listed and unlisted companies, as well as advising on the implementation of management packages.

He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2017 and the New York Bar since 2018, and is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M. Securities and Financial Regulation, 2016) and of the University of Lyon “Jean Moulin Lyon 3” (Master’s Degree in Law and Financial Engineering, 2014).

Benoît Delort, Counsel, is a member of the Restructuring and Insolvency team.

His practice includes advising corporate clients in relation to situations of financial distress, both in the context of confidential, amicable proceedings (financial restructuring, disposals of underperforming businesses (distressed M&A), etc.) and in French and cross-border court-supervised insolvency proceedings, where Benoît has developed significant expertise in business takeovers through asset sale plans and in complex restructuring plans. He also regularly assists clients in disputes arising in this context.

He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2017 and is a graduate of the University of Montpellier (Magistère juriste d’affaires DJCE) and of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master’s Degree in Insolvency Law). 

  • Amaury de Galbert, Counsel | Tax Law

Amaury de Galbert, Counsel, is a member of the Tax Law team.

He advises corporate clients on the tax aspects of transactions, whether domestic or cross-border (M&A, private equity and corporate restructurings), as well as in relation to tax audits and tax litigation. He also assists private individuals on certain operations relating to wealth management.

He was seconded to the UK law firm Slaughter and May in London in 2024/2025.

He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2019 and is a graduate of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master’s Degree in Business Law and Tax, 2016) and of the business school HEC Paris (Master’s Degree in Management, majoring in Legal and International Tax Strategy, 2016).

She also provides tax advice to corporate clients in managing their assets and to individuals in the context of wealth management.

She has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2017 and is a graduate of the business school HEC (Master’s Degree in International Tax and Legal Strategy) and of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master’s Degree in Business Law and Tax, 2016).

Sarah Gicquel, Counsel, is a member of the Digital Law and Intellectual Property team.

She has extensive expertise in transactions and litigation matters in all areas of intellectual property.

She assists clients in protecting and defending their intellectual property assets, in a broad range of sectors, particularly in the context of complex technology-related transactions.

She advises both on transactional matters (structuring innovation projects and tech-related partnerships, licensing strategies, drafting and negotiating contracts, corporate transactions comprising IP issues), as well as on litigation matters (disputes relating to patents, trademarks, industrial design rights, copyright including software, disputes relating to unfair competition and parasitism, digital platforms law, mediation).

  • Arnaud Mailhos, Counsel | White-Collar Criminal Defence

Arnaud Mailhos, Counsel, is a member of the White-Collar Criminal Defence team.

He appears before criminal courts as counsel to companies and their executives in both contentious and negotiated proceedings, covering all aspects of white-collar criminal law. He has notably participated in negotiating several French deferred prosecution agreements (CJIPs) and has developed particular expertise in criminal tax law, as well as in probity/anti-corruption matters and customs criminal law.

He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2017 and is a graduate of the business school HEC Paris (Grande Ecole programme, 2012), the University of Toulouse 1 Capitole (Master’s Degree in Corporate Tax Law, 2014) and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master’s Degree in Business Law, 2010).
