Bredin Prat advises the consortium BlueCo on entering into an agreement to become the new shareholder of Strasbourg football club “Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace”

Bredin Prat is advising the consortium BlueCo, which bought Chelsea FC in May 2022, on entering into an agreement to become the new shareholder of the Strasbourg football club “Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace”.

BlueCo has undertaken to accelerate sustainable investment in the club’s growth, including in the first teams and in the Academy, in continuity with the project implemented by Marc Keller, who will remain the President of the club.

The proposed transaction is subject to a consultation process with the relevant employee representative bodies.

On 22 June, in accordance with the French Professional Football League regulations, the project was presented to the Direction Nationale du Contrôle de Gestion (DNCG), the organisation responsible for monitoring and overseeing the accounts of professional association football clubs in France, whose assessment is expected in the coming weeks.
