Bredin Prat advises Schneider Electric in connection with the conclusion of an agreement with a view to acquiring Shelly Group

Bredin Prat is advising Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, in connection with the conclusion of an agreement with Shelly Group and its two founders, Dimitar Dimitrov and Svetlin Todorov, with a view to the acquisition by Schneider Electric of Shelly, a provider of IoT and smart building solutions, through a voluntary tender offer.

The transaction would value Shelly Group at €1.2 billion and would combine Shelly’s software-led home energy platform with Schneider Electric’s technology leadership across residential, retrofit and small commercial buildings.

The transaction is subject to successful completion of the offer and to customary regulatory approvals, with closing expected by Q1 2027.
