The firm advises numerous large multinational corporations and business associations on specific competition law matters and works closely with the firm's M&A team on large transactions requiring pre-merger clearances under European, French or multi-jurisdictional merger control regulations. Bredin Prat has been involved both at the European and French levels in the great majority of major merger and antitrust litigations involving a blue-chip French company. The firm also advises clients on state aid matters, as well as on the deregulation of industries in the telecom, energy and air transport sectors.
The competition team handles major antitrust litigation matters (cartels, abuses of dominant positions, state aid, damage and indemnity claims) before both French and European regulatory bodies and courts.
