Bredin Prat began the development of its expertise in public business law in the 1980s, particularly in connection with the privatization activity during that period. Assisting public sector bodies and companies on numerous M&A transactions and litigation matters has strengthened the firm's knowledge and expertise in this field.

The arrival of Yann Aguila, a judge of the Conseil d’Etat (supreme administrative court which also advises the government on questions of legislation), to head the public law team will further strengthen and foster the expansion of this practice.

Bredin Prat advises on all aspects of public law, public business law and environmental law, in respect of both French and cross-border matters, in connection with both transactions and litigation.
